Description
Apistogramma nijsseni (A180) is one of the 'panda' type apistos, along with A. panduro and A. baenschi. Compared to the more popular panduro, nijsseni has more yellow, especially in the face area. Otherwise, they are quite similar; both species are smaller apistos with males maxing out just over 2". They make for a good community cichlid, and mix well with other smaller, mild fishes.
